What are dedicated teams?

A dedicated team is a pod of trained operators assigned exclusively to your program — working in your facility or ours, on your hardware, under your NDA. They build deep task knowledge over months, not days.

When to choose dedicated

  • IP-sensitive programs — data never leaves your air-gapped environment
  • Complex manipulation — tasks that take weeks of operator calibration
  • Consistent quality — same operators, same rigs, low variance across batches
  • Long-running programs — months of steady collection with stable throughput

What you get

  • Per FTE-month pricing — predictable cost, no per-task surcharges
  • Background-checked operators — NDA, onboarding, and task calibration included
  • Daily dashboards — throughput, quality, and utilization metrics

Best for

Teams that need maximum IP control and operators who deeply understand the robot, the task, and the acceptance bar.

100% IP exclusivity.

14 months average operator tenure.

2 weeks from SOW to ramp.

Built for

When the data has regulatory or safety stakes

Three verticals where dedicated operator teams outperform crowdsourced networks every time.

Surgical robotics

Procedure-grade teleop where every trajectory has regulatory consequences. Clinician operators, HIPAA-compliant storage, full chain of custody.

Autonomous vehicles

Edge-case scenarios and corner-case capture for AV stacks. Long-tenure operators who understand sensor calibration and labeling consistency.

Defense and dual-use

ITAR-eligible, US-citizen operators with security clearances available. Air-gapped collection environments and physical secure rooms.

How it works

Four weeks from SOW to production

Standard ramp. Faster on a case-by-case basis with operator pre-qualification.

1Week 1

Recruit

Domain-experienced operators sourced from our 20K+ pool. Background checks, NDA, and security clearance review.

2Week 2

Train

Calibrate operators against your acceptance criteria with a held-out gold set. Pass rate locked before production.

3Week 3

Pilot

Small-batch collection with daily QA review. Adjustments to spec and rig before scaling.

4Week 4

Production

Full pod in production. Daily throughput dashboard. SLA-bound delivery against your acceptance criteria.

Team composition

A default 35-person pod

Sized up or down per program. Below is the standard composition for a high-IP, mid-volume dedicated engagement.

1

Operations manager

Single POC. Owns SLA, QA, and your weekly review cadence.

1

Trainer

Maintains calibration. Onboards new operators. Drives consistency.

2

Team leads

1:15 supervision ratio. Real-time spot checks and operator coaching.

1

QA analyst

1:30 audit ratio. Reviews acceptance criteria adherence daily.

30

Employees

Domain-trained on your spec. Full-time, dedicated. Your IP, your hardware.

Operator training

Four pillars hold the floor

How we keep dedicated operator pods at production-grade accuracy across the engagement.

PILLAR 01

Domain immersion

Two-week deep dive on your hardware, your taxonomy, and your failure modes. No generic training pipelines.

PILLAR 02

Hardware proficiency

Operators trained on your actual rig — not a simulator, not an analog. Time-to-competency is measured per-operator.

PILLAR 03

Performance bar

Gold-set acceptance criteria locked with your team. Operators pass the bar before producing billable data.

PILLAR 04

Continuous calibration

Weekly recalibration against drift. Quarterly cross-training with adjacent programs to keep operators sharp.

When to choose dedicated

Pick dedicated when IP, regulation, or operator continuity matters more than per-unit cost.

What our partners say
After eighteen months running our own data collection in-house, we handed it to Roborax. The pod was producing surgical-grade trajectories at our acceptance bar in four weeks.

FAQ

Questions about dedicated team programs

A trained operator cohort, a program manager, a QA lead, and access to our data pipeline infrastructure. For hardware-intensive programs we also include a technical lead for equipment setup and calibration.
For platforms we already support, two weeks from SOW signature to first data. For new platforms requiring operator training, three to four weeks.
We ask for a minimum four-week initial engagement to make the onboarding investment worthwhile for both sides. After that, programs can run on a rolling monthly basis.
A dedicated program manager who is your single point of contact. They handle operator scheduling, quality review, and weekly reporting. You do not manage operators directly.
Yes. We actively encourage client engineers to observe and participate during the initial setup phase. For ongoing programs, we can arrange embedded access to sessions and QA reviews.
